OTE: £38,000 - £43,000 depending upon hours worked

Vehicle Taken Home Whilst on Shift

Overview: F1 Personnel are an agency working with this well-established and highly respected local company providing Roadside Assistance, Vehicle Recovery and Repair services based in Chalfont St Giles. They are recruiting 2 Experienced Recovery Drivers to build upon their already successful team.

Why This Role?: Helping people in a time of need by attending broken down vehicles by the roadside. Providing basic repairs just as wheel changes and jump starts OR transporting vehicles that can't be repaired to the depot, local garage or customer's home address.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Basic Pay: Good starting rate rising after a successful 3-month probation period
  • Overtime: Available
  • OTE Pay per Year: £38,000+
  • Truck: Can take truck home whilst on shift so minimal travel to work costs
  • Job Status: Permanent with immediate interviews and start available
  • Shifts: Working a shared roster to include alternate weekly start times: 09:00-21:00 and 12:00-00:00
  • Weekend working: usually 1 weekend in every 3 weeks: 12:00-00:00

The successful candidate will be very flexible with hours. The industry operates 24/7 365 days per week. Average Hours per Week: 48-60. Note: the shifts are 12-hours per day so candidates must be prepared to work these. Will include weekend and Bank Holiday working as part of the roster.

Skills & Experience: All candidates must have previous recovery driving experience plus the following:

  • Driving Requirements:
    • Minimum 7.5T (LGV C1)
    • Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements, no DD, DR, IN, CD
    • Hold current Drivers Qualification Card (DCPC) & Tacho Card
    • Be over 25 years old (for insurance purposes)

Personal Attributes:

  • Previous recovery driving experience in a 7.5T vehicle or above
  • Reliable, flexible, and customer-focused
  • Able to work on own initiative and in all weathers
  • Professional and safe driving record

Vetting: Checks will include:

  • Identity and Right to Work
  • DBS Criminal Records
  • Referencing for 2-years
