£18.00-£22.00 per hour We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and respected roadside assistance and vehicle recovery company with a busy depot and workshops based in Cranham, near Upminster, Essex. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Workshop Mechanic to join their team. This is a varied, hands-on role working on an extensive range of vehicles, from pre-1960s classics through to modern cars, sports and performance vehicles, vans and light commercial vehicles. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their workmanship, and can confidently manage their own workload while working with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service and repair a wide variety of petrol and diesel vehicles. Carry out maintenance and repairs on classic, modern, sports and performance vehicles. Rebuild and set up carburettors. Complete engine, suspension and brake repairs and rebuilds. Conduct vehicle inspections and fault diagnosis. Undertake welding and fabrication work where required. Complete servicing and preventative maintenance to a high standard. Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and professionally. Requirements
Proven experience as a qualified Vehicle Mechanic or Technician. Excellent mechanical knowledge across both classic and modern vehicles. Experience working on both petrol and diesel engines. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. Welding experience is advantageous. A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
