Its interesting, and no two days are the same, so you'll never get bored! Working for this prestigious company, you will be required to: Attend roadside breakdowns of light vehicles (cars/vans). Load and transport to garages or home addresses. Deliver excellent customer care in sometimes stressful situations. Work in all weather conditions, independently and professionally. __________________________________________________________________________________________ What You Need: Licence: HGV Class 2 (LGVC) or higher (max 6 points for minor offences, no DD/DR/CD). Tacho & DQC/DCPC: Required from day one. Commercial Driving Experience: Freshly passed HGV drivers will be considered however previous experience in a commercial driving is essential (7.5T or Bus/Coach). Other Requirements: Good understanding of Drivers Hours and Compliance. Calm under pressure, self-motivated, and prepared to work in all weather conditions. Strong people skills; must be able to communicate effectively with the general public in stressful and difficult situations. (There is never a good time to break down, and people can be upset and worried, especially being by the side of the road.) _________________________________________________________________________________________ Training: 3-week Induction Training Programme: Week 1: Training in Birmingham (accommodation, travel and food expenses paid). Week 2: Training in the Walsall (accommodation, travel and food expenses paid). Week 3: On-the-job training and mentoring from depot. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off roster on Days Shifts Average 40 hours per week across the year Hours 08:00 to 19:00 (11 paid including breaks) Overtime available at the End-of-Shift and additional days __________________________________________________________________________________________ Pay and Benefits: The company pays a lower overtime rate for the first 12-weeks: First 12 Weeks: Basic: £14.88 per hour Overtime: £16.27 per hour OTE: £33,000 per year After 12 weeks worked: Basic: £14.88 per hour Overtime: £28.00 per hour OTE: £35,000 per year Note: Some Recovery Patrols can earn up to £40,000+ depending on hours worked plus additional incentives. Permanent Employee Package, if transferred at the end of the contract: If taken on permanently, additional benefits are added to the package including: Additional bonuses and incentives.
