We are recruiting HGV Class 2 Recovery Drivers for the UK’s leading breakdown and recovery organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your driving skills with helping people who have broken down at the roadside. No recovery experience needed. Full paid training provided.

The Role
As a Recovery Driver, you’ll attend roadside breakdowns involving cars and vans, load vehicles safely onto a recovery truck, and transport them to a garage or home address. This is not a standard delivery driving role. You’ll work independently, solve problems and genuinely help people when they need it most. Ideal for drivers who enjoy variety, responsibility, helping people and being out on the road.
Training Programme
You’ll complete a fully paid 3-week induction programme:
- Week 1: Online training from home via Teams
- Week 2: Residential training at one of the company’s training venues (Accommodation, meals, and travel provided)
- Week 3: Mentor training in the truck from your depot
By the end of training, you’ll be fully prepared to work independently.
What You Need
- HGV Class 2 licence or higher
- Maximum 6 points for minor offences
- No DD, DR, or CD endorsements
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digi Tacho card
- Good drivers’ hours and compliance knowledge
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Experience
- Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience preferred
- Newly qualified HGV drivers considered
- Ex-military drivers encouraged to apply
Shift Pattern
Weekend Nights. Includes: Thursday - Sunday, 21:00-06:00
Interview Process
Teams interview with the Hiring Manager including:
- Drivers’ Hours assessment
- Tacho compliance test
