Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the onsite BRS Engineering Team to innovate and deliver customer‑led projects within agreed timelines, leveraging Flight Deck and adhering to Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost priorities.
  • Manage team performance through development plans, performance reviews, PPG, and dynamic priorities.
  • Serve as a best‑practice and quality resource in a relevant discipline (e.g., systems engineering) and stay abreast of technical developments.
  • Develop and industrialise visual management methodology for the NPI process.
  • Lead technical decision making and support local strategy deployment as a member of the Site Senior Leadership Team.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues, explaining complex or sensitive information.
  • Support resource allocation, identify skill gaps, and develop training pathways using gap analysis.
  • Assist the BRS Senior Leader Team in stakeholder management to build consensus among customer and engineering teams.

Desired Characteristics

  • Technical aerospace experience in commercial engines or a similar technical background.
  • Leadership experience in a cross‑functional, horizontal matrix or operations environment.
  • Leadership experience leading medium‑sized teams of salaried engineering and technical professionals.
  • Experience in structured problem solving and daily management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver programs or projects.
  • Engineering degree to Masters level or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Strong systems or mechanical design experience.
