We are inviting applications for the position of Logistics Team Leader within the Supply Chain department.
This is a permanent opportunity, reporting directly to the Logistics Group Leader.
About the Role
To lead a team of logistics and dispatch operators to deliver reliable, safe, and efficient material flow across the site. The role is responsible for day-to-day execution of logistics activities including goods receipt, storage, inventory movements, linefeed, and dispatch. The Team Leader ensures processes are followed, safety is prioritised, and continuous improvement is embedded.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily logistics and dispatch operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in line with internal controls.
- Lead, support and motivate a team of logistics operators, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork.
- Act as the primary point of contact for materials movement, escalation of issues, and support for production readiness.
- Ensure all inventory movements, deliveries and shipments are processed accurately through the ERP/MRP system.
- Support with stock management practices including bin control, linefeed replenishment, and transaction investigations.
- Enforce safety protocols and contribute to site-wide safety and housekeeping standards, including 5S.
- Ensure compliance with export control, handling of goods, and HSE requirements.
- Conduct process confirmations, contribute to short interval control, and raise improvement ideas where appropriate.
- Support training and cross-skilling of team members to ensure flexibility and resilience within the team.
- Provide updates to the Group Leader on operational performance, challenges, and resource needs.
Mandatory Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- ERP/MRP system experience (e.g., SAP or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse/logistics processes
- Ability to lead by example and coach others
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and warehouse documentation
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in a logistics team leader or senior operator role (preferably in aerospace or manufacturing)
- Experience working with Export/Import compliance
- Continuous Improvement mindset (5S, Lean, visual management)
- Understanding of material traceability and stock accuracy standards

- COSHH Awareness
- Training or certification in Logistics or Supply Chain
