Are you passionate about turning complex biomedical data into actionable strategies that shape the future of healthcare? As our Senior Data Strategy & Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in designing and executing data strategies that enable advanced decision-making across our therapeutic areas and molecule portfolios. Based within the Real-World & Clinical Data Strategy (RWCDS) team, you will bridge the gap between scientific questions and practical technical solutions, transforming clinical, operational, and real-world data into innovative assets that accelerate drug development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Data Strategies: Lead the execution of defined components of therapeutic area or program-level data strategies, seamlessly integrating diverse, multi-modal data types.
  • Design Advanced Analyses: Design and execute complex data analyses for specific use cases across real-world, clinical, and operational domains.
  • Advocate for Harmonization: Independently apply standard data models and metadata practices to support long-term data governance and harmonization efforts.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Support scientific and operational teams as an expert in data sourcing, curation, and analytical readiness, while also executing the required analytical work when needed.
  • Drive Data Accessibility: Collaborate closely with internal data stewards, scientists, and stakeholders to improve data workflows, technical requirements, and analytical usability.

Who You Are

You are an independent, analytical thinker who excels at translating complex scientific research needs into structured data workflows. You bring excellent communication skills, strategic agility, and a collaborative mindset that allows you to thrive in a global, multicultural environment.

To be successful in this role, you bring:

  • Advanced Technical Education: A Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Life Sciences, Informatics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Data & Analytics Experience: 3+ years of experience working directly with clinical, operational, or real-world data (RWD) systems.
  • Modern Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on experience using analytical programming languages like R or Python.
  • Data Framework Mastery: Demonstrated experience applying FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and managing metadata in a regulated data environment.
  • Production-Grade Analytics: Working knowledge of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) practices, including containerization and pipeline orchestration, to transition models from experimentation to production-grade systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with common healthcare data standards such as OMOP, CDISC, or HL7 FHIR.
  • Exposure to cloud-based data engineering tools, knowledge graphs, or clinical trial development workflows.

Location: This role is based onsite at our Welwyn, United Kingdom office. Our team follows a hybrid work structure, requiring a fixed number of onsite days per week. Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.
