The Opportunity
In your role as Senior Test Manager (m/f/d), you combine deep technical hardware and software testing expertise with strategic project management, acting as a mentor and decision-maker in complex situations:
- Project Leadership & Budget: Take full ownership of leading and managing verification and validation projects, including planning, execution, and budget monitoring.
- Team Leadership: Provide functional guidance and mentoring to mid-sized cross-functional project teams across all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Innovation: Develop innovative approaches for complex testing challenges (e.g., test automation, CI/CD pipelines) and successfully present them to key stakeholders.
- Autonomy & Interface: Work largely autonomously within broad guidelines and act as a central subject matter expert and point of contact for development and product teams.
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate with local and international cross-functional teams to solve complex technical issues across global sites.
- Compliance & Infrastructure: Ensure that our testing infrastructure, test suites, and processes continuously meet the highest applicable international medical standards (e.g., IEC 62304, IVDR, ISO 13485, EMC, Endurance testing).
Who You Are
As an experienced and inspiring leader, you possess strong judgment and the ability to energize teams for modern, methodical testing practices:
- Education: Advanced university degree (Master, Diploma, or PhD) in Medical Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Professional Experience: Proven track record in managing verification/validation projects (5 to 8 years of experience, depending on your highest degree).
- Domain Expertise: Deep and broad expertise in Test Management, covering manual, automated, and continuous testing in a regulated environment (medical technology or IVD).
- Regulatory Know-How: Solid working knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IVDR, IEC 61010-1, IEC 61326-2-6). You effortlessly balance regulatory compliance with agile development efficiency.
- Leadership Skills: Strong capability in functionally guiding teams, paired with a strategic mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Language Skills: Business fluent in English (written and spoken) for daily collaboration in an international environment.
