Roche Diagnostics is a global leader in providing diagnostic solutions that help healthcare professionals make informed decisions for patients. Within the UK and Ireland, the Laboratory Transformation Team (LTT) supports this by focusing on the design and implementation of these solutions directly within our customers’ clinical laboratories. By applying lean and project management principles, we help laboratories optimise their workflows and ensure our diagnostic systems are implemented effectively to deliver high-quality results for patient care and laboratory efficiency.
As a PMO Analyst, you will be the analytical specialist within our Project Management Office (PMO). This role is about providing the data-led foundation that allows the team to deliver excellence for our customers. While you will be the subject matter expert for our data strategy, you will also be an integrated part of a team focused on the successful implementation and transformation of our customers' laboratory services. You will bridge the gap between raw insights and operational delivery, ensuring that our portfolio is aligned, our resources are optimised, and the team is always working from a single, accurate version of the truth.
Core Responsibilities
- Driving Portfolio Intelligence: Lead the design and evolution of our portfolio data environment. You will provide the metrics and insights that allow for smart, collective decisions regarding planning and performance monitoring for key stakeholders.
- Portfolio Alignment: Work with the wider PMO function to facilitate our end-to-end alignment process. This involves ensuring that new project requests are evidence-led and strategically integrated into the wider landscape—validating mandates and identifying core organisational benefits.
- Resource & Capacity Insights: Develop and manage project data relating to resource utilisation. By providing clear, actionable data, you will enable delivery teams to better understand their project landscape and track exactly what has been delivered for our customers.
- Quality & Governance: Act as the guardian of our data integrity. You will monitor project data compliance and provide the feedback loops necessary to ensure that high project management standards are maintained across the function.
- Strategic Storytelling: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights. Your ability to present findings effectively will allow the team and leadership to move forward with confidence and speed.
- Systems Support: Act as the subject matter expert for our project management systems. You will identify opportunities for process optimisation and provide guidance to your colleagues on system best practices.
Who You Are
You are a proactive professional who thrives on turning complexity into clarity for the benefit of the wider group. You have the ability to work independently on technical tasks while staying aligned with the PMO's shared goals. You enjoy a team environment, have the emotional intelligence to build strong professional relationships, and are comfortable suggesting practical improvements to help the team move forward.
Essential Skills and Experience
- The Data Mindset: Advanced proficiency in modern data analytical tools (such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio).
- PMO Knowledge: Proven experience within a PMO function, with a focus on governance, risk identification, and resource data management.
- Project Methodology: A strong understanding of Project Management principles and how they apply in a service-led clinical environment.
