The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Arable Operator to join our family-run farming business based in Somerset (TA5). We farm combinable and forage crops within a 20-mile radius, using modern machinery and precision farming techniques to high standards across our operations.
The Role Will Include:
- Maize and cereal drilling (experience essential)
- Cultivating, ploughing, spraying, hedge trimming
- Daily servicing and general machinery maintenance
- Operation of Fendt tractors
- Relief Forager and Combine Operator
- Repairing and maintaining agricultural machinery
- Supporting general farm activities
Desirable skills:
- Someone highly motivated, skilled, with a positive, can-do attitude
- Proven experience in arable operations
- Holds relevant spraying certificates (PA1, PA2, PA4)
- Experience with GPS and precision farming
- Accurately record field applications
- Keen interest in crop husbandry with an eye for detail
- Prepared for the peak seasonal hours required
- Holds a valid telehandler ticket
