Role Summary & Impact
EZScholar is seeking part-time Research Mentors (Ph.
D. holders, professors, lecturers or postdocs) from Russell Group to guide high-achieving high school and undergraduate students through 10β12 week independent research projects online.
Success Criteria
Helping an ambitious student narrow down a niche topic, design a rigorous methodology, and complete a high-quality, publication-ready research paper.
Organizational Fit: Mentors serve as our core academic engine, providing the advanced scaffolding needed to prepare top-tier students for elite university admissions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly, 1-hour virtual mentorship sessions over a 10-to-12-week cycle.
- Help students scope a viable, specialized research topic and testable hypothesis.
- Guide students through literature reviews, methodology, and data/simulation analysis.
- Provide constructive written and verbal feedback on iterative paper drafts.
- Review the final submission to ensure it meets academic and publication standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Completed Ph. D. (or near completion) in a relevant academic field from Russell Group universities.
- Experience: Current or recent appointment as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Professor, or University Lecturer.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Mentorship: Prior experience teaching or mentoring high-achieving young learners is preferred.
