Due to continued growth, we are looking for two hands-on, customer-focused Field Technicians to join our growing operations team in North of Scotland. You will be on the road diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining EV chargers at residential, commercial, and public locations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys solving technical problems, and wants to be part of a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites across the UK to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair EV charging stations, particularly in the Highlands.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades on chargers to ensure optimal performance.
- Work closely with the technical support and operations teams to diagnose issues remotely and resolve them on-site.
- Keep detailed and accurate service reports and communicate issues clearly with internal systems.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the brand in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and electrical standards at all times.
- Support installation teams when required during peak periods or special projects.
Requirements
- Essential:
- 2+ years of experience in a hands-on electrical, technical, or field service role.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- CSCS Card.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on the road.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and software to log reports and update service tickets.
- Desirable:
- Qualified electrician or background in electrical systems.
- Experience working with EV chargers, solar PV, or similar electrical infrastructure.
- Knowledge of EV market and charging standards.
- Manual Handling certificate.
Salary: £35 - £40k DOE
On call Allowance: 10% Bonus
