Due to continued growth we’re looking for two hands-on, customer-focused Electrical Technicians to join our growing operations team in North of Scotland. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys solving technical problems, and wants to be part of a sustainable future.

We are seeking skilled and motivated Electrical Technicians to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the Scottish Highlands. This is a field-based role requiring extensive travel to remote and rural locations, so flexibility and a proactive mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and test EV charging units in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards
  • Perform reactive and routine maintenance and fault diagnosis on charging infrastructure
  • Respond to callouts and troubleshoot electrical and network-related issues
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with industry regulations and company procedures
  • Accurately complete service reports, documentation, and compliance records
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and site hosts to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the company on-site
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition
Requirements
  • Fully qualified electrician (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Valid electrical certification (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
  • Proven experience in installation, maintenance, or field service roles
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including to remote Highland locations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Design and Quality Assurance of Largescale electric vehicle charging installations
  • Installation and maintenance of Largescale electric vehicle charging installations
  • Level 3 Award in the Requirements for the Design and Installation of Domestic and Small commercial electric vehicle charging installation (available from 30 August 2024)
  • Experience working with EV charging systems or renewable energy technologies
  • Knowledge of networking/communications systems (e.g., SIM, Wi-Fi, OCPP)
  • Inspection & Testing certification (2391 or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations in field environments
