We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Regional HR Business Partner to support operational teams for a utilities business based in Northampton. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership teams, delivering a full generalist HR service. This is a true business partnering role, combining strategic input with hands-on operational HR support. You will work closely with managers across multiple sites, driving people initiatives that support performance, engagement, and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with regional managers to deliver HR strategy aligned to business objectives
- Provide expert advice on employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance management)
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational design
- Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives
- Support change management projects and restructures
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and company policies
- Analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making
About You
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Business Partner level
- Experience within utilities, engineering, infrastructure, or other operational/field-based environments desirable
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- Confident managing complex employee relations cases
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel regionally as required
