If you are currently sailing as a 2nd Engineer and looking to move ashore for the first time, this will be a great opportunity for you. We are working with a client that manages and owns RoRo Cargo Ferries, they take training seriously and look to develop individuals where they can. The team that you will be joining consists of some vastly experienced individuals. Based near the Lakes, you would be working on a hybrid basis and would be provided with accommodation initially whilst you settle in and a significant car allowance.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Marine Engineer with Unlimited CoC or equivalent qualifications (MSc / BSc)
- Experience in a similar shore/ship management role is also suitable
- Flexible approach to work
Responsibilities
- General and technical management of Ro-Ro Cargo Ferries in accordance with company and statutory requirements
- Day to day management, maintenance and repair
- Budget planning
- Managing survey schedules and internal audits/inspections
- Preparing vessels for dry dock/refit in accordance with budget requirements
- Working closely with internal departments including Operations, Safety, Marine, Commercial, Crewing and HR
- Participating in the Crisis Management Team
