This isn't just about managing ships, It's about orchestrating a complex dance of people, machinery, regulations, and economics.

What you'll actually do:

• Be the champion for your assigned vessels, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency
• Coordinate critical operational elements from safety protocols to maintenance schedules
• Lead emergency response teams when vessels need you most
• Maintain impeccable documentation that keeps vessels compliant and ready
• Ensure crew certificates are valid and up-to-date (because details matter)
• Review and approve reports from vessels under your watch
• Act as the vital connection between Emergency Teams and your vessels
• Carry the responsibility of Safety Officer with the gravity it deserves
• Be the point person for Company Security Officer for your fleet
• Handle insurance claims with precision and care
• Correspond with the experts – P&I Clubs, Underwriters, and Average Adjusters
• Maintain essential records for P&I, Hull & Machinery, and Loss of Hire claims
• Engage with principals about claims, statistics, and voyage schedules
• Collaborate across departments when the Fleet Manager calls on you
