We are currently seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our amazing nursery on a fulltime, permanent basis. The nursery is situated in a spacious, vibrant building with a great range of facilities for the children and staff. The nursery is in the borough of Barnet and has great commuting options with the closest stations being Finchley Central Underground and Overground Station.

The position details:

  • Job type: Permanent
  • Position: Fulltime
  • Pay: £13-£15
  • Hours: 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm
  • Days: Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Supervise and interact with children during playtime and activities.
  • Assist with feeding, diapering, and maintaining cleanliness in the nursery.
  • Collaborate with other Nursery staff to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
  • Monitor children's behaviour and report any concerns to the Nursery Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress.

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

  • Have a childcare qualification level 2 or higher.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written communication).
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Have a clear enhanced D.B.S.
  • The right to work in the UK.
