We are looking for a highly organised and proactive content operations lead to run our entire delivery engine – from managing web content pipelines, AYCR platforms and proofing to flat planning print pages, and everything in between.
You will lead and evolve our transformation from print-first to digital-first workflows, running a slick, scalable operation that keeps content flowing across multiple channels and clients.

The Senior Content & Production Manager oversees the full end-to-end production workflow across all digital platforms and print outputs (owned and client). This includes scheduling, team resourcing, sub-editing, flat planning, finalising pages, sending to press, and managing digital content flow to the website, and platforms including Apple News+ and Readly.
They ensure tone, style, and delivery excellence across all platforms, proactively managing resources, commissioning when required, and seeking continuous efficiency improvements. They lead the production team and freelancers across owned and client work, maintaining a high standard of content execution.
AI tools should be used where appropriate to streamline planning, schedule tracking, proofreading and flat planning. The senior content and production manager will also be required to attend events, where appropriate.
Key responsibilities
- Planning & Workflow
- Lead and evolve transformation workflow strategy from print-first to digital-first, in line with business objectives.
- Enable daily stream of subbed content and marketing comms distributed across digital channels including website, newsletter and social media.
- Own production schedules across digital, print and commercial content.
- Flat-plan, final and send monthly print pages to press on time and to spec.
- Oversee monthly delivery of digital editions to partner platforms (including Apple News+, Readly).
- Lead a small team of Multimedia Sub-Editor, Production Executive and freelancers, allocating work as needed.
- Liaise with creative, content and audience teams to coordinate timely delivery of assets.
- Proactively troubleshoot production issues and implement workflow improvements.
- Set and maintain tone, style and quality standards across all formats.
- Ensure brand consistency across client and owned platforms.
- Confident use of CMS (e.g. WordPress), email builders (e.g. MailChimp), Google Docs, project management tools (e.g. Trello), design platforms (e.g. InDesign), proofing tools (e.g. Rhapsody and GoProof) and collaboration tools (e.g. Teams and Slack).
- Embrace AI where appropriate to streamline planning, schedule tracking, proofreading and flat-planning to support speed and scale.

- Skilled at managing multiple schedules, platforms and content types for multiple brands and clients.
- Strong understanding of and proven experience in digital publishing and print production.
- Excellent communication, planning, organisation and leadership skills.
- Excellent writer and editor, who can quickly and creatively optimise any and all kinds of copy.
