We’re looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join our independent practice, replacing a long-standing member of the team who is moving on. This is a full-time role (5 days per week) with 2 days supporting eye examinations and the remainder split between dispensing, reception, and patient care.
What the role involves:
- Dispensing frames and lenses with confidence
- Pre-screening patients and supporting clinics (2 days per week)
- Booking appointments, handling enquiries, and general practice support
- Providing friendly, professional care in a busy independent practice
Who we’re looking for:
- Previous experience as an Optical Assistant
- Comfortable with pre-screening and working closely with an optometrist
- Reliable, organised, and good with patients
