Join a small international broking company, part of a larger global group. The company operates as an introducing broker rather than an interdealer broker. This role is well-suited for a confident, outgoing individual with strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure. The position demands considerable responsibility from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of commodity markets, origins, and trade flows.
  • Learn contract terms, trade and shipping terms, and documentation requirements.
  • Support senior brokers in client interactions and negotiations.
  • Assist in contract execution and operations.
  • Conduct market sector analysis and provide reports to management.
  • Develop new leads and initiate contact with potential clients.
  • Shadow brokers and gradually take on broking responsibilities under supervision.
  • Handle dispute resolution processes when required.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Travel at short notice when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience in a relevant field).
  • Strong IT knowledge.
  • GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics at grade B/6 or higher (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience in related fields is required for the Broker position but not for the Trainee Broker role.

Working Hours:

  • Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Flexibility required to accommodate international client demands and market activity.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with non-native English speakers.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
