Role Description
Eye Technology Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take full operational ownership of a well-established manufacturing business operating across two sites, Rayleigh, Essex and Letchworth, Hertfordshire. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing operational processes, managing supply chain and logistics, coordinating cross-departmental initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role includes managing budgets, optimising resource allocation, and leading a team to drive operational excellence and meet business objectives. This is very much a hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities & Must-Have Experience
- Engineering background: An engineering background is preferred, however applicants must, at minimum, have significant senior-level experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Operations and Project Management: Proven experience in process optimisation, project planning, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end operations including production, stock control, supply chain, and budget oversight.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership, team building, and conflict resolution skills to manage and motivate teams across departments.
- Supply Chain and Logistics: Hands-on experience in overseeing supply chain processes, inventory management, and vendor relationships.
- Experience with ERP systems and/or Xero accounting software.
- Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge: Experience working with Quality Management Systems and audits. Ideally, IOSH certified with experience of managing H&S audits.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and deliver actionable reports and recommendations.
