The EMEIA Global Tax Desk is a team of over 70 professionals from 13 countries including a large representation from the United States and representation from Africa, China, Colombia, Chile, India, Mexico, the Netherlands, Australia, Russia and Japan. We have Tax Desk hubs in London, Munich, Paris, Zurich, Brussels, Rotterdam and Madrid. London is our largest Desk.
Our US Desk in London is looking for an experienced Senior with US tax background which must incorporate tax compliance, transaction tax and consulting experience, including US state and local tax.
Your key responsibilities:
- As directed by the Partners, Senior Managers and Managers on the US Desk, you will build tax relationships with internal clients and learn how to provide exceptional client service on all the projects you are invited to contribute to.
- On a project basis, you will assist in client wins by providing support to the US Desk senior management group as they service existing clients and win new clients.
- You will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of specific areas and tasks on client tax projects, ensuring technical excellence is applied at all stages and a best practice approach is taken.
- You will be expected to contribute to the development of the team in terms of strategy, operations and innovation – we operate as a non-hierarchical, high performing team and expect all team members to contribute to the wider team success.
To qualify for the role you must be:
- A US certified public accountant and/or tax lawyer.
- An experienced tax practitioner with US tax background as highlighted above.
- A team player with proven ability to contribute to a team and help drive successful outcomes.
- Client savvy and commercially aware with proven experience of working on US client accounts.
- A clear and effective communicator in a range of situations, both written and oral.
- An enthusiastic and self-motivated contributor with a flexible attitude to work.
