The opportunity

EY’s Technology Delivery team delivers technology‑focused solutions based on industry best practices, processes, resources, tools and accelerators.

Our teams deliver small‑, medium‑ and large‑scale, multi‑year programme transformations through waterfall, agile or hybrid approaches tailored to client needs.

  • Core responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end mobilisation, delivery and benefits of large‑scale complex programmes using selected PM methodologies.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate activities to manage a change programme roadmap from mobilisation to implementation, leading a large cross‑functional team.
  • Influence and negotiate programme outcomes across multiple functions; prepare and present analysis, insights and recommendations to governance forums and senior client stakeholders.
  • Maintain focus on key priorities and dependencies so programmes deliver business benefits within agreed timelines.
  • Identify and advise on programme‑level decisions that influence significant direction; elevate decisions that cannot be resolved to the agreed governance forums.
  • Understand EY’s consulting service offerings; identify opportunities to better serve clients and build external and internal relationships across service lines.
  • Provide innovative insights for clients aiming to improve IT offerings, execute programme commitments, and adapt methods to operational needs, contributing to thought leadership.
  • Lead Technology Consulting engagements, managing team performance and commercials, conducting performance reviews, and managing engagement billings.
  • Develop people through supervising, coaching and mentoring all staff levels.
  • Implement workplace policies and procedures for staff.
  • Required qualifications
  • Strong academic record, including a third‑level degree in a business or IT related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, PMBOK, SAFe or Diploma‑level project management accreditation.
  • At least 8 years of client‑facing experience in delivery of large‑scale complex change/transformation programmes or systems integration programmes (or 10 years in a leading company).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience onsite within the UK&I region, across focus industries such as Energy & Utilities, Government & Public Sector, Technology, Media & Telecoms, Advanced Manufacturing, Consumer Products & Retail, Financial Services or Life Sciences.
  • Experience in one or more technology areas including ERP, CRM, AI, Digital Workplace, CX, Cloud migration and/or integrations, Data & Analytics, RPA, Emerging Tech, Io T.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and translate strategy into measurable business benefits.
  • Experience working in a matrix‑managed organisation.
  • Experience establishing, training and managing teams comprised of client staff, contractors and strategic partners.
  • Track record of delivery within large‑scale IT transformation programmes.
  • Proven ability to align business and IT across organisational and technology silos, delivering sustainable and reusable solutions.
  • Capacity to adopt a big‑picture view while managing detail across various contract types and engagement approaches.
  • Ideal additional experience
  • Tracking, monitoring, advising and maintaining status and actions across project budget, risks, issues, dependencies and benefits.
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration across IT, Finance and business units to deliver governance that meets client needs.
