EY's Tax Technology & Transformation (TTT) practice helps clients reimagine and modernise their tax functions through the effective use of technology, data, process optimisation and operating model transformation.

Working with some of the world's largest and most complex organisations, we help clients respond to an increasingly demanding tax and regulatory landscape while improving efficiency, control and insight across their tax processes.

As a Senior Consultant, you will work as part of multidisciplinary teams comprising tax specialists, finance transformation professionals, data analysts, and technology consultants.

You will support the delivery of tax transformation programmes that help clients improve the way tax data is sourced, managed, reported and governed across their organisation.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in corporate tax, tax reporting, finance transformation, ERP implementations, or tax technology who are looking to develop their consulting skills and build a career at the intersection of tax, finance, data and technology.

  • Your key responsibilities
  • Support the design and delivery of tax transformation programmes spanning people, process, data, technology and operating model change.
  • Work with clients to understand their current tax and finance processes, identify improvement opportunities and help define future-state operating models.
  • Participate in the implementation and optimisation of tax and finance technology solutions, including tax reporting, provision and compliance platforms, as well as ERP and EPM systems.
  • Analyse tax and financial data requirements, support data-mapping activities and help clients improve the quality, governance and accessibility of tax data.
  • Collaborate with tax, finance and technology stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into practical technology-enabled solutions.
  • Support project management activities, including workstream coordination, issue resolution, stakeholder communication and delivery reporting.
  • Contribute to business development activities, thought leadership and proposal development for new client opportunities.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in corporate tax, tax accounting, tax reporting, finance transformation, ERP implementation or a related consulting environment.
  • Strong understanding of tax and/or finance processes, together with a genuine interest in technology-enabled transformation.
  • Experience working with tax reporting, tax compliance or tax provision processes, including an understanding of the underlying data requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex business challenges into practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience with tax reporting and tax technology solutions such as Longview Tax, Oracle TRCS, One Source Tax Provision, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to ERP or EPM platforms, including SAP, Oracle, Workday or other enterprise finance and reporting solutions.
  • Professional qualification (or working towards one) such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, CA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting technology-enabled transformation, process improvement or finance change programmes.
