Build out your technical and sector knowledge by working alongside our clients in project teams. Work with cutting-edge technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Internet Of Things (IOT) and Block Chain; as well as leading procurement (Source to Pay) technology.

Your key responsibilities
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships and be a trusted advisor in at least one form of supply chain i.e., operations, planning, procurement, manufacturing etc.
- Contribute/lead a workstream within a project and be capable of managing activity to complete deliverables within your remit.
- Contribute and be an active member of a core project team, often working with others from different parts of EY's world.
- Contribute to the development of proposals to showcase some of our leading practices.
- Engage the market with thought leadership and public profile, and contribute to enhancing our methodologies.
- Support successful delivery of projects by managing your work products and contribution as forecast to time and budget.
- Help ensure the quality of our delivery exceeds client expectations by effectively managing activities within your remit.
- Maintain a personal development program to continually enhance your technical and consulting skills.
- Increasingly grow your people leadership experience through leading as part of client and internal teams.
Your experience
Typically, Senior Consultants bring practical experience from either a professional services or industry background where you have developed your commercial and procurement experience. Your Commercial and Procurement experience will be valued across several sectors, with a key focus on Consumer Products & Retail, Energy & Resources, Government & Infrastructure, Health & Life Sciences, Private & National and Telecommunication, Media & Entertainment.
Our Senior Consultants are required to possess some experience in at least one of the technical skills below and some exposure across one or multiple others:
- Supply Chain Strategy: Operating Model design, segmentation strategy and inventory optimisation.
- Supply Chain Transformation: Being part of one or many significant supply chain transformation projects with considerable scope and scale.
- Digital Supply Chain: Applying or implementing next-generation supply chain technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, cognitive automation and AI, Internet‑of‑Things (IOT), Blockchain and Big Data analytics.
- Supply Chain Analytics: Developing detailed supply chain analytics to deliver enhanced end to end SC visibility.
- Supply Chain Planning Functional: Demand and supply planning, sales & operations planning, segmentation strategy, inventory optimisation and/or production scheduling.
- Supply Chain Planning with Technology: Knowledge of one of the following technologies: OMP, Kinaxis, o9, Aera, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, and SAP S/4 HANA.
- Logistics: Network design and network modelling; understanding of global customs and trade; warehouse design and optimisation.
- Manufacturing: Manufacturing optimisation both in terms of plant level performance improvement or holistic manufacturing network optimisation.
- Procurement: Strategic, operational or transactional procurement across the buying lifecycle.
- Service and Asset Management Transformation: Understanding and knowledge of end to end asset management lifecycle.
Qualifications
Our Senior Consultants have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are able to engage effectively with peers and senior stakeholders. They are proactive and energetic, self‑starters, with innovative qualities that enable high quality work to be delivered often in relatively short timeframes. Some of our Senior Consultants may have professional body membership or qualifications e.g. Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), or International Association of Commercial & Contract Management (IACCM) or equivalent.
