Based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, our Specialised Team (NST) is an established and growing team focused on the supply of various products and services to EY engagement teams and clients. Examples include compliance support services and specialist data analytics services.

You will be joining this rapidly growing team at an exciting time, as EY continues to transform its global service delivery models and accelerate its investment in technology. You will have the opportunity to help the team improve and diversify its product and service offerings, as part of your own development through our specialised career pathways and associated learning and development programmes.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the NST PACE team providing services to teams across the UK to complete and review risk assessment forms.
  • Performing reviews of risk assessment forms to ensure the highest quality work is produced and delivered with robust, efficient, and high-quality processes & procedures.
  • Act as a visible role model for our people by representing EY values.
  • Be able to use external sources to acquire the relevant information.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality by adhering to EY risk management policies and team operational excellence policies.
  • Monitor own workloads & deadlines and take responsibility to deliver in line with team KPI’s.
  • Develop an internal network through mutual sharing of ideas, knowledge & resources.
  • Being a point of contact for junior assistants; dealing with supervisory queries.
  • Identify training needs and process improvements to drive the team forward.
  • Coach and develop junior team members and provide timely feedback.
  • Become a counsellor to assist with team members' career aspirations & goals, and join in with the quarterly staff appraisals.
  • Take ownership of developing & delivering self-development plan with specific focus on broadening skills & knowledge.
  • Other tasks as directed by team management.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Be able to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good experience in Microsoft Office Suite especially MS Word and MS Excel.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience of working in small and large teams within a diverse environment.
  • Experience of reporting directly to senior stakeholders on a project.
