The EY.ai Data Marketplace is a platform built and operated by EY’s Growth & Innovation – Applied Innovation portfolio under EY’s Global Data Office. The EY.ai Data Marketplace ingests, governs and distributes external, commercial, and open data across EY's Service Lines and platforms. Currently, the EY.ai Data Marketplace operates 46 data products across a variety of sources, our estate has over 130 million files, and we deliver over 1 TB of data per week to all EY’s Service Lines with tens of thousands of weekly API calls. Our team spans Australia, Europe and India, serving global consumers with a focus on data integrity, security, and governance.
Our product structure is divided into 3 primary pillars:
- Ingestion: The Ingestion team is responsible for developing the core platform pipelines to extract, transform and load data into our estate whilst applying our governance principles.
- Consumption: The Consumption team is responsible for developing the capabilities that enable EY’s products and Service Line practitioners to discover, explore and consume our estate of data.
- Activation: The Activation team is responsible for helping customers discover and use our platform.
The Opportunity
EY.ai Data Marketplace is seeking a proactive, dynamic, and adaptable member to join our global, diverse and inclusive team. Due to our product continually growing and evolving, we look for team members who are open to change and respond well in ambiguous environments by demonstrating curiosity and proactiveness. Reporting to the Product Lead, the Deputy Lead / Senior Product Manager will oversee the strategic direction and execution of product initiatives across the Ingestion, Consumption, and Activation teams. This role will ensure alignment between the teams, drive product innovation, and enhance the overall customer experience.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the respective pillar Product Managers, lead the product strategy and vision for the Ingestion, Consumption, and Activation teams, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with the Product Lead to define and prioritize the product roadmap, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic objectives.
- Manage and mentor the Ingestion, Consumption, and Activation Product Managers, providing guidance and support to drive their success.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs that inform product development.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, architecture, go-to-market teams to ensure successful product launches and enhancements.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and insights, translating them into actionable product requirements.
- Champion a customer-centric approach within the product team, ensuring that customer needs are at the forefront of product decisions.
- Prepare and present product updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Skills And Attributes For Success:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a technology or data-driven environment, with a track record of successful product launches.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team of product managers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in agile product development methodologies and project management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Familiarity and understanding of data platforms, APIs, and user interfaces.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance customer needs with business objectives.
- Passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
