Overview
EY is expanding its Assurance Managed Services solution portfolio and is seeking experienced Solution Architects to partner with business domain leaders to design, commercialize, and deliver managed service offerings.
The role bridges business strategy and solution and technology execution, translating market opportunities and customer requirements into scalable, operationally and commercially viable managed services architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business domain leaders to understand strategic objectives, market opportunities, and growth targets.
- Facilitate structured discovery sessions to capture client, EY, and third‑party requirements and incorporate them throughout the solution development lifecycle.
- Translate business strategy and requirements into clear managed‑services value propositions and architecture road‑maps.
- Design end‑to‑end managed‑services business architectures with standardized, scalable constructs to enable repeatability and margin optimization, ensuring alignment between business, technology, and operational capabilities.
- Define solution scope, client experience blueprints, process and controls design, technology architecture, operating model, governance structure, service lifecycle model, SLA/OLA frameworks, compliance with regulatory and security frameworks, delivery models, commercial & pricing models.
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance across standard architectures and when deviating from them.
- Liaise with IT security, data security, quality, risk management, and independence stakeholders to meet EY standards.
- Contribute to the design and development of the Managed Services Orchestrator.
- Support business case development, revenue projections, cost structures, margin modelling, investment requirements, and pricing strategy.
- Work closely with Product, Sales, Delivery, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure architectural feasibility and execution readiness.
- Provide architectural leadership during engagement pursuits and client engagements.
- Advise on organizational change, process & controls change management, and technology development during solution builds.
- Lead as trusted architecture advisor to executive leadership.
- Scan for emerging industry and technology trends, assess impacts, establish KPI, and drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across managed‑services offerings.
- Monitor and manage the quality and currency of content in global architecture repositories.
- Domain‑Specific Lead Responsibilities
- Business and Service Architecture Lead
- Own and maintain Assurance managed‑services business, process, and controls architecture and standards.
- Design modular solution architecture to allow flexibility in bundling and integration for client needs.
- Define audit‑readiness and compliance processes (SOC 1, SOC 2) and support projects to meet these standards.
- Guide technology development teams through design‑to‑delivery lifecycle to meet business requirements and standards.
- Ensure appropriate process and controls training for the managed‑services team.
- Technology Architecture Lead
- Own and maintain Assurance managed‑services technology architecture and standards.
- Guide technology development teams through design‑to‑delivery lifecycle to meet business requirements and align with architectural standards.
- Ensure the managed‑services team understands IT security standards and requirements.
- Provide technology training for the managed‑services team.
Qualifications
- Business + Service Architecture Lead
- Minimum of a bachelor’s‑level qualification in Management, Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of ten years’ experience managing end‑to‑end architecture for managed services and/or outsourced solutions.
- Technology Architecture Lead
- Minimum of a bachelor’s‑level qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Minimum of ten years’ experience with agile, iterative and conventional development methodologies applied to platform, transactional and analytical systems.
- Preferred Certifications / Experience
- Business + Service: TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification.
- Technology: Experience building solutions leveraging cloud (ideally Azure) and public Saa S platforms (ideally including SAP).
Skills and Attributes for Success

- Ability to lead and manage multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Proven experience designing and commercializing managed‑services offerings.

- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF) and service management frameworks (ITIL).
