The opportunity

The team supports Private Equity and Corporate clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, from pre-deal structuring and diligence through to post-deal implementation, assessing their international tax strategies and providing a range of services at every stage. As a member of this team, you’ll work on multidisciplinary projects helping clients develop and deliver integrated and far-sighted global transaction and transfer pricing strategies in the ever-changing regulatory environment.
Your key responsibilities
- Critically assess transfer pricing operating models as part of diligence activities.
- Build and maintain tax relationships with the wider Transaction Tax team and clients and provide high levels of client service.
- Assist in winning work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients, including the identification and delivery of post-deal transfer pricing opportunities.
- Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business focused approach taken.
- Contribute to successfully extracting maximum value for both EY and clients from the tax services delivered whilst managing risk appropriately for both client and the firm.

- Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral, including communicating complex matters with brevity.

Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong transfer pricing technical skills, including with respect to financial transactions.
- Strategically and commercially aware.
- Effective time management and experience managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Degree or postgraduate degree essential.
- ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA; or Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training Course; or Law qualification; or CFA; or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a Tax specialist qualification.
- Project management skills, plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget and time.
