This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and innovative individual to take on a Manager role within our Tax Transformation Office (TTO). You will lead and support initiatives that embed AI and automation into Tax processes, by assisting Tax SSL teams to enhance client service delivery and help future-proof our business. You will collaborate with Tax SSL leads, UKFS AI influencers, and strategic alliance partners to help deliver impactful business and commercial outcomes.
Your key responsibilities
- Tax Transformation Office Enablement: Support the TTO lead with the expansion and growth of the Tax Transformation Office through current and upcoming initiatives. Facilitate junior staff in TTO, acting as an initial point of contact. Collaborate with senior leaders across Tax to promote and manage technology adoption across SSLs. Lead on the low code/no code transformations across UKFS. Support development of the SSL prioritised backlog of agreed AI and automation use cases. Monitor collection and triaging of use cases. Support Everyday AI rollout across SSLs lines through training and facilitation. Coordinate alliance partner connection across SSLs, utilising alliance resource and maintaining relationships.
- Sub Service line enablement: Collaborate with SSL leads and technical teams to identify areas of process improvement and types of automation that will address business-critical risks. Work with solution architects and delivery resources to complete requirement analysis documents and solution design.
- Ad Hoc projects: Working with external third parties on AI academic studies. Assisting with managing the Everyday AI initiative through Tax SSL AI influencers. Oversight of Tax AI intern programme, ensuring interns contribute to tech and AI solutions aligned with SSL business needs. Lead Ad Hoc AI-focused training across SSLs. Develop and deliver various AI training sessions.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience in Tax transformation, AI enablement, or technology consulting.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Experience with a variety of common technology platforms (e.g., EYQ, Microsoft suite of tools including, M365 Co-Pilot, Power Platform).
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
To qualify for the role, you will need to have a range of the following capabilities:
- A university degree or equivalent preferred.
- Familiarity with EY Tax services preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in coaching and developing junior resources.
- Willingness to travel within the UK or abroad (on some occasions you may be required to travel internally to support delivery of engagements and projects).
