Join EY and help build a better working world. We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join our international tax services team, recognised as leaders in international tax advisory and cross‑border M&A. You will work with some of the largest corporations in the world, advising them on international tax planning and M&A deals.
Working within the International Transaction Tax Service (ITTS) Practice focusing on the RHC offering, you will collaborate with sector‑leading Partners and a high‑performing team that has advised on many high‑profile transactions.
The combination of experience and innovation in our team makes it an exciting place to work in tax, and a place where you can learn and develop into a skilled international tax adviser, working with UK / overseas MNCs, lawyers and banks on complex projects. Our international tax professionals will work on a variety of projects which are focused on helping clients to develop and execute their international tax strategy, including:
- Expansion into new markets
- Pre‑transaction reorganisations and post‑transaction integration
- Legal structure rationalisation
- Operating model redesign
- Optimisation of capital structure and financing
- Optimisation of intellectual property ownership and reliefs
- Managing risks arising from global law changes such as BEPS
- Lobbying and negotiation with tax authorities in the UK and globally
Your Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, proactively win work and contribute to new client acquisition
- Manage the successful delivery of technically complex consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business‑focused approach
- Oversee overall quality of client service
- Manage potential leads from other practice areas
- Build internal and external networks for the team to leverage
- Develop junior staff through supervision, coaching and mentoring
- Involve significantly in team management, strategy and operations, and junior staff development and assignments

To qualify for the role you must have
- ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA or Tax Inspector with full Technical Training Course, or Law qualification
- Degree qualified
- Experienced corporate tax practitioner
- Proven ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statute
- Experience in a client‑facing role in UK tax or similar jurisdiction
- Experience in the Real Estate sector
- Project management skills, planning and prioritising work, meeting deadlines, monitoring own budget
