An essential function under EY Business Enablement, Supply Chain Services (SCS), is a global team with more than 600 professionals in over 35 countries supporting the EY organization across the globe.
This structure helps enable knowledge-sharing across categories and regions, streamlining efforts in seeking innovative suppliers that can provide exceptional client service to maximize SCS’s value for the EY organization and the world's supply chain.
A key component of SCS is Global Procurement, whose purpose is to drive significant synergies and value creation from sourcing to contract lifecycle management, deliver exceptional client experiences and build more vital collaboration to manage Technology, Talent, Alliances and Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) categories.
We forge meaningful supplier relationships and strengthen supplier resilience to help EY maximize long-term value for its people, clients and communities.
Technology Sourcing is part of Global Procurement focusing on the requirements from the Technology team and managing circa $2.3B of spend annually.
The Technology Sourcing team supports infrastructure and services at a global enterprise scale and supports key programs and solutions globally in partnership with our EYT colleagues in order to continue to enhance EY’s position as a technology driven industry leader.

Your Key Responsibilities
The Technology Sourcing Assistant Director reports into a Technology Sourcing Leader within the Technology Sourcing team and is responsible for sourcing strategy and execution, customer engagement and experience, and vendor management in line with the Global Procurement Policy and processes.
The role of the Technology Sourcing Assistant Director may include
- Responsibility as a senior individual contributor on an Enterprise Technology Sourcing team, aligned to one or more technology categories.
- Act as an individual contributor and trusted business advisor – managing multiple complex transactions directly or indirectly and working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver successful results.
- Working closely with risk management business partners to minimize contractual risks to the firm whilst demonstrating year on year improvement in value for money.
- Partnering with GCO (legal) to lead key negotiations and reporting on the quantitative and brand value delivered.
- Effectively build a pipeline of deals and develop the appropriate resourcing plans.
- Supporting improvement in processes, policy, systems, management information and reporting.
- Successfully leading negotiations for global and regional deals meeting the timelines, scope, and requirements agreed with key stakeholders.
- Working with senior EYT and Service Line stakeholders to help develop a category strategy which supports the overall global technology strategy.
Supporting the broader Technology Sourcing team in the delivery and management of procurement activities may include the following activities:
- Manage full lifecycle of contracts for assigned programs of work and key suppliers.
- Pro‑actively manage contract and license renewals.
- Build and foster collaborative working relationships with EYT and other internal business partners.
- Supporting and leading stakeholders through the Onboarding of Technology Goods and Services end‑to‑end process.
- Socialization and facilitation of the Technology Sourcing policy and processes, ensuring that the project team and stakeholders understand the value of the policy and adhere to it accordingly.
- Timely and frequent submission of management information, including project status and savings reporting.
- Support for the Enterprise Technology Sourcing team in developing a strategy which adheres to the overall global technology strategy while supporting local engagements.
- Facilitation of any needed market research to identify potential suppliers, ensure competitive pricing and terms, etc.
Skills And Attributes For Success
- Strong experience with senior stakeholder management with the ability to collaboratively co‑develop strategies and set and manage expectations.
- Extensive experience negotiating contracts related to technology services – particularly managed services / outsourcing.
- Heavy experience with negotiating contracts globally.
- Experience of managing complex service agreements both from the commercial and service delivery side.
- Experience of working in a Sourcing/Procurement/Vendor Management team in a complex and global environment.
- Experience working in an IT role as part of delivering technology solutions is a plus.
- Strong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across borders.
- Good knowledge of technology vendors and new technologies is important to successfully work with the EYT teams.
- Up to date with all issues in the services space including Outsourcing, Infrastructure as a Service and offshoring / rightshoring.
- Strong communication skills required; must have the ability communicate in English effectively, transparently, and timely across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc) in a global environment.
- The ability to independently manage and prioritize workload.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for challenge.
- Provide Exceptional Client Service.
- To qualify for the role, you must have
- Required
- Minimum of 8 years experience in a strategic sourcing role.
- Alternatively, technology or business operations experience may be considered in lieu of some of the sourcing experience for the right candidate.
- In‑depth experience negotiating for multiple service delivery models (Outsourcing, Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service, etc).
- Experience of stakeholder management at a senior level in their current or previous role.
- Ideally, you will also have
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in business English.
- Experience with a global, culturally diverse organization.
- Experience working collaboratively, virtually and independently.
Certification Requirements
- CPSM qualification or equivalent desired.
