This role sits within EY’s global Microsoft 365 Apps team, operating in a large, complex, multinational environment. We are seeking an experienced Power BI Product Manager to partner with fellow Product Managers, technical leads, and engineering teams to define and deliver the Power BI platform roadmap. The Power BI Product Manager is accountable for product oversight, governance, and strategic direction of the Power BI platform. The role focuses on ensuring the platform is secure, well‑governed, performant, and aligned to EY’s broader data, analytics, and Microsoft Fabric strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Governance & Risk Management: Implement and oversee governance processes for workspace lifecycle management. Ensure deletion or remediation of old, unused, or orphaned workspaces. Maintain accurate ownership records across all assets. Establish strict controls for items shared “to everyone,” ensuring unused or high‑risk objects are locked down or removed.
- MyHub Implementation Support: Act as a key resource in the rollout of MyHub for Power BI. Ensure governance, data accuracy, and platform structure are established prior to launch. Drive adoption and ensure the new platform is embedded effectively across the organisation.
- Tenant Management: Oversee day‑to‑day and long‑term management of the Power BI tenant. Monitor platform health, environment configuration, and capacity usage. Define and enforce operational standards to maintain a secure, robust, and scalable environment.
- Strategic Engagement with Microsoft: Maintain close collaboration with Microsoft to influence and understand roadmap developments. Ensure new and upcoming capabilities align with EY requirements. Lead internal readiness planning for major feature releases.
- Alignment with EY Fabric & Procurement: Partner with EY Fabric on integration points between Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. Work with procurement and Fabric teams to manage license allocations, optimise costs, and avoid over‑provisioning. Oversee licensing lifecycle, renewal processes, and consumption reporting.
- Adoption & Best Practices: Drive organization‑wide understanding of Power BI best practices. Support community enablement and education to promote secure, effective use. Provide guidance to business stakeholders on how new roadmap features will be communicated and adopted.
