The opportunity: We are seeking to further expand our team with IT consultants who work across a range of sectors, including Private Equity, Digital and Telecoms. As an Executive (Junior manager) in our team, you’ll advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions using your intellectual guile and enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) transaction lifecycle; including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review and corporate carve-outs & integrations.

Your key responsibilities: As an Executive within our Strategy and Execution team, you will assist in engagement delivery across sectors and business situations. You would use your knowledge of technical IT topics and work on buy-side and sell-side mandates across the transaction lifecycle. You will collaborate with broader teams across Strategy and Transactions (such as operational and financial due diligence) to deliver integrated insights.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Contribute to pre-deal (e.g. technology due diligence, carve-out planning), post-deal (e.g. sign to close, integration planning, synergy tracking) and value creation (e.g. cost reduction, tech enabled VC) engagements with clients across all sectors, including private equity and corporate.
  • Handle the engagement’s most critical studies and lead junior team members. On any given day, an Executive might coach/mentor junior team members, conduct industry research, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, or participate in client discussions.
  • Work with engagement lead to develop hypotheses, insights, and key findings that are critical to the engagement.
  • Execute qualitative and quantitative analyses (e.g., IT spend analysis and benchmarking, organisational capabilities, technology capabilities) to support the formulation and validation of strategic recommendations.
  • Perform secondary research using various sources (e.g., analyst reports, market research reports, news articles).
  • Analyse business plans and pro-forma financial models to help identify key assumptions and drivers.
  • Engage in business origination activities, including pitches, proposals and presentations.
  • Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training current and future staff.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Broad knowledge and deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function, including Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Integration and Application Development, IT Service Delivery, IT Infrastructure, IT Financials and the dynamics of an IT function.
  • Proven experience and the ability to communicate with clarity and impact to senior stakeholders. This may be demonstrable through experience working in large projects with senior visibility, success at presenting technical topics to non-technical audiences or speaking at events.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work products, including databooks, reports, or client-ready materials, with strong attention to detail and the ability to self-review for accuracy.
  • Ability to analyse and triangulate multiple data sources, generating clear, actionable insights and “so-what” recommendations that support client decision-making.
  • Flexible with working locations, with the ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations.
  • Experience with transactions, ideally in performing IT Due Diligence and/or IT post-merger integration, separation/carve-out assignments, is useful but not a must.

What we are looking for: You will be a trusted business consultant to our clients and use your knowledge of multiple IT technologies to work closely to their needs. Your agility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and ability to build trust with the team and clients will be key to the role. If you’re ready to take on a wide range of responsibilities and are committed to seeking out new ways to make a difference, this role is for you.
