Programme overview
At EY, we’re committed to offering opportunities for all. We live in a diverse world and believe our workplace should reflect this. We’ve designed a programme for students in their first year of university (or second year on a four-year course) that will give you the tools and experience to support you in your career journey.
Our Black Heritage in Business programme is aimed at raising awareness with students of Black Heritage. By Black Heritage, we are referring to students who might identify as Black, Black British, Caribbean, African, or Mixed Black ethnic groups. This programme allows students to develop their skills and strengths and meet inspiring members of our EY Black Community.
What you will be doing
Taking place in April 2026, you’ll participate in an insight experience and exciting activities that give you a taste of life at EY. EY will cover the cost of reasonable travel expenses, and provide a one-off payment for attending the event.
You will be:
- Developing your professional skills and personal strengths – helping you propel your career into tomorrow.
- Exploring your interests, network with peers and ask questions.
- Learning from extraordinary leaders who’ve carved inspirational careers, overcome challenges, and made an impact.
- Hearing from our EY Black Community about the structured support, training and opportunities available.
- Gaining insight into your chosen business area:
- Audit – go beyond studies and see how we work with clients from local start-ups to big multinational companies.
- Tax – hear how our apprentices and graduates are helping us to transform the world of Tax.
- EY-Parthenon – explore our teams and client projects to give you a deeper understanding of mergers, acquisitions, valuations, as well as looking at the economic circle of our clients.
- Technology – explore an environment fuelled by our use of artificial intelligence, cyber security, data analytics and beyond. Develop an understanding of how your passion for technology can solve complex problems for some of the world’s biggest businesses.
Regardless of your chosen business area, our team is dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. You’ll get to prosper in an environment that enables you to learn, shape and grow. If you’re at university you could be fast-tracked onto a Summer Internship or Industrial Placement. The opportunities here are endless.
Locations
Join us in one of our offices on day two across the UK: Birmingham, Edinburgh, London, or Leeds. We advise you to apply to the hub location where you would want to be employed in the future. For the in-person event, EY will cover reasonable travel costs for you to get to the office.
