Consultant, Service Design

Are you ready to create impactful work on major projects for leading clients? We\'re expanding our Product & Experience Design practice and seeking exceptional talent: inspired, experienced, curious, and hands-on professionals to support our clients and lead our diverse London team and global network. Is that you?

At EY Seren, we engage with every sector, enhancing daily interactions and experiences. Our mission is to empower people to make better choices and address pressing challenges. We collaborate with organizations to develop transformative platforms, products, and services that foster a more meaningful and sustainable world.

As of June 2025, EY Seren has partnered with EY Studio+, a global network of designers and technologists across 50 countries. Together, we adopt a human-centered approach to tackle real-world challenges, leveraging the expertise of 400,000 EY professionals to turn ideas into impactful experiences.

Our work is diverse, focusing on clients in regulated sectors like Government, Healthcare, Financial Services, and Energy. One week, you might interview customers about their financial decisions; the next, lead a workshop on embedding innovation in a government department.

We value our practitioners and provide the freedom and support to develop your skills, thinking, and career in a way that benefits both you and our clients.

The role

We are looking for a Junior Product Designer to join the Product & Experience Design Practice at EY Studio+ starting September 2025.

We are looking for passionate and imaginative individuals from varying backgrounds, interests and experiences who are eager to build a career in designing better customer experiences for regulated sectors.

There are a couple of things that we ask of everybody:

You’ll be fascinated by product in all its forms with a desire to deliver great solutions in the teams we put together for clients, to help them improve existing products and services, invent new ones, and ultimately grow businesses.

You will be inquisitive and user focused and able to use a combination of logic, empathy, rigour and storytelling to articulate a customer or business problem before working creatively and technically to articulate a product or service solution.

You will be a natural collaborator . Ideas breed ideas, and so we work multi-disciplinary teams and embed clients in our process. We work in the open, we share our thinking early and we build on each other’s contribution.

You will be visual. We work generatively. We create things to clarify thinking, align understanding and move towards a solution that works.

You will be iterative. No-one gets it right first time. We don’t expect to.

You will be ambitious yet realistic in your solutions. Our work sits in the sweet spot between desirable, viable, feasible and allowable. Getting it there is a big part of what we do.

You will be a doer AND a thinker and know when to switch from one to the other and how to create time and space for both.

You will navigate complexity. People, organisations, technology, policies, regulations. Designing products and services puts you at the centre of complexity. We need to make sense of it all quickly, and flex and adapt to move through it effectively.

You will be competent in product design and agile delivery methods and know how to shepherd clients through a design process, creating good work and advocates for EY Studio+ as you go.

You will be a self-starter and have an explorative mindset, creating new perspectives and identifying the spaces you can be impactful for both EY Studio+ and its clients.
