Role description: Student Experience Consultant (Senior Associate)
Reporting to: UK TSS Student Experience Senior Consultant (Supervising Associate)
Location: Birmingham
Talent Shared Services (TSS) is a Birmingham based, centralised team that supports the firm’s Talent strategy and employee lifecycle across a broad spectrum of services, including HR advisory, payroll, employee data management, and professional qualification administration.
The Opportunity
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work within the Student Experience (SE) Team, supporting the administration of EY’s professional qualifications and compliance management for EY students and apprentices. You will assist Senior Associates in transacting and administering professional qualifications for all UK&I students enrolled, while building relationships with the wider Talent Student Management and Delivery team and other internal and external stakeholders.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and counsel team members day‑to‑day in qualification administration to enhance their knowledge and competence.
- Provide day‑to‑day support for specific qualification transactions, including course administration across the qualification life cycle.
- Utilise programme knowledge to liaise with the SMD team, internal business teams, tuition providers, and institutes.
- Develop and maintain process documents that reflect best practice.
- Support access arrangements and guidance for students, coordinating with internal teams, institutes, and tuition providers.
- Manage database preparation to facilitate future intakes and maintain data integrity, performing housekeeping and audit checks.
- Act as the escalation point for qualification queries and continue developing knowledge resources.
- Support development and projects related to qualifications, liaising with stakeholders and escalating vendor issues when necessary.
- Assist with sessions delivered by Institutes to the student population.
- Coordinate the invoice and billing process for professional qualification costs.
- Collate and act on quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide counselling to SE Team Associates.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the day‑to‑day operation of qualification programmes.
- Work effectively under pressure, prioritise workload, and manage multiple projects with flexibility.
- Identify risks and manage or escalates them appropriately.
- Respond to, manage, and resolve issues raised by senior managers within TSS and other senior stakeholders, recommending solutions.
- Demonstrate initiative and vision, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Consult and collaborate to build robust relationships across all TSS Service Teams, HR Services, and regional stakeholders, ensuring best practice sharing.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Proven experience in qualification administration.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with a proactive problem‑solving approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to forge strong working relationships within UK TSS and external teams.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to deliver to deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Adaptability in influencing and managing stakeholder relationships.
- An enthusiastic, can‑do attitude.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Extensive knowledge of the qualifications offered at EY.
- Experience working within a shared services centre environment.
- Experience with professional qualifications and/or apprenticeship administration.
