A role in Corporate Treasury is multi-dimensional. Whether you’re coming from an audit background or are currently working in a Corporate Treasury or Treasury Management environment, we can align a role with your experience. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships and delivering a first-class customer experience on high-profile engagements.
  • Corporate Treasury Advisory and Consulting: systems implementation support; maturity assessments; improvement and treasury transformation projects; controls and governance reviews; cash flow forecasting, cash flow management and optimisation; financial due diligence support.
  • Providing independent expert knowledge to EY Audit clients via EY Audit teams on financial instrument valuations and accounting, hedge accounting, expected credit loss allowance calculations and incremental borrowing rate calculations.
  • Directly advising non-EY Audit clients on how they should be accounting for financial instruments in terms of IFRS 9, 13 and 16 and FRS 102.
  • Actively establishing, maintaining, and strengthening internal and external relationships and networks.
  • Acting as a coach and point of contact on technical issues for junior team members.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Ability to assess business practices and articulate gaps and opportunities for improvement compared to typical industry practices.
  • Experience or understanding of treasury operations, including treasury systems, cash management, financial risk management, funding and debt management, bank relationship management.
  • Knowledge of accounting and valuations of financial instruments (IFRS, UK GAAP or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated interest in Financial Markets, Corporate Treasury, and/or financial risk modelling.
  • Certification in a Treasury Management System: Kyriba, FIS, Gtreasury ION, SAP, etc.
  • Ability to explain specialised concepts to non-technical audiences.
