EY Parthenon’s Large-cap Private Equity Origination practice is seeking an Assistant Director (Senior Manager) to join the team to focus on Industrials & Business Services. The role is based in London and focuses on transaction opportunities that span Europe and EY’s wider EMEIA footprint. The Origination team is an entrepreneurial group within EY’s EY Parthenon (“EYP”), otherwise known internally as SaT, service line. The team is focussed on generating new deal opportunities by supporting our private equity (“PE”) client base through regular deal pipeline and asset-specific discussions.
The team is organised along sector lines, and works closely with practice areas (e.g., financial diligence, strategy, and operational value creation) on key transactions by proactively providing valuable insights, knowledge and intelligence on prospective large-cap deal targets across Europe. The team is a crucial lynchpin in the EYP go-to-market strategy for PE, and the aim is to enhance our relationships with Industrials & Business Services sector teams with respect to our PE client base.

- Be a key member of an elite, highly experienced team central to helping deliver revenue and growth to EY’s private equity practise.
This role will offer progression opportunities for the right candidate.
Your key responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading on either the Industrials or Business Services sector (focus TBC), being a central point of contact for deal flow within one of these sectors. You will manage both the short and medium-term sector pipeline by sourcing, investigating and distributing deal intelligence to the SaT practice. Another essential part of the role involves developing market-leading insight discussion materials on upcoming pipeline targets and sector themes (“pursuits”), then delivering this alongside pursuit team deal experts to PE and selected corporate clients.
Your responsibilities will involve internal discussions with relevant people from the SaT Service Line and qualitative and quantitative analysis to develop pursuits. You will also be required to form and uphold relationships with intermediary advisers to chase leads and gather market intelligence. You will also have the opportunity to support the wider Origination team where relevant in team management and preparing sector agnostic insights.
