Role Overview

EY’s Private Capital Tax team is the largest such practice in the UK with a strong reputation for sector expertise and trusted adviser relationships across a broad range of clients including global financial institutions and market‑leading boutiques, high and ultra‑high net worth individuals and investment and business structures. The team provides corporate, partnership and personal tax advisory services. This role is relevant for an individual with corporate, personal, owner‑managed business or a mixed tax background. New opportunities are available for experienced and talented individuals to join our London or Manchester offices, working within the Private Capital Tax team. You will receive extensive training and support from a variety of tax professionals to build a successful career within EY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the successful delivery of tax advisory projects across a range of matters including UK corporation tax, international tax, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and other relevant tax matters for UK and international individuals, businesses, and partnerships (note you do not have to have expertise in all areas to apply).
  • Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff.
  • Play a role in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and through managing staff development and assignments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proactive business development to win new work.
  • Interact with other EY offices both in the UK and overseas.
  • Maintain contact with HM Revenue, manage, mentor and train junior staff and work with people from across the business.
