Role Overview

EY’s Private Capital Tax team is the largest such practice in the UK, offering corporate, partnership and personal tax advisory services to a broad range of clients including global financial institutions, market-leading boutiques, high and ultra‑high net worth individuals, and investment and business structures. This role is suitable for individuals with experience across corporate, personal, owner‑managed business, or mixed tax backgrounds. The team provides a full suite of tax advisory and compliance services to non‑listed financial services businesses – addressing UK and international tax affairs for the business, owners, employees and other stakeholders. The role also involves advising ultra‑high net worth and high‑profile individuals on personal needs and their business holdings or investment structures such as trusts, funds or family companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on a wide range of tax matters including UK corporation tax, international tax, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and other relevant UK and international tax issues for individuals, businesses and partnerships (applicants need not be experts in all areas).
  • Build deep relationships with a portfolio of long‑term accounts and become their trusted advisor.
  • Engage with clients through in‑person, verbal and written communication.
  • Collaborate with other EY offices across the UK and overseas.
  • Coordinate with HM Revenue & Customs and third parties such as major financial institutions, lawyers and wealth advisory businesses.
