As a Market Facing Director in WAM Technology Consulting, you will drive market growth, client relationships, and large‑scale transformation delivery across wealth and asset management clients. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, technology, and delivery, shaping complex transformation programmes (e.g. front‑office platforms, data/Aladdin ecosystems, operating model change), while building trusted relationships with C‑suite stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain trusted C‑suite relationships (CIO, COO, CTO).
  • Originate and shape complex deals and multi‑year transformation programmes.
  • Lead business development, pipeline growth and proposition development.
  • Elevate EY’s brand through thought leadership, industry engagement and client events.
  • Define target state architectures and transformation roadmaps.
  • Shape enterprise technology strategies and operating models.
  • Develop robust business cases and value propositions.
  • Advise on platform strategy (build vs buy, vendor selection, integration approach).
  • Lead design of end‑to‑end WAM technology architectures, including:
    • Front office / investment platforms (e.g. Aladdin ecosystem)
    • Data platforms and analytics
    • Integration patterns (APIs, event‑driven)
  • Define interoperability, governance, and scalable solution design.
  • Sponsor and oversee large, complex transformation programmes.
  • Act as the bridge between business and technology stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between fast‑cycle digital initiatives and core platform transformation and release cycles.
  • Assure risk, quality, controls and delivery outcomes.
  • Build and grow WAM Technology Consulting capability, including:
    • Develop offerings, assets, and propositions.
    • Lead high‑performing teams and communities of practice.
    • Coach and mentor junior colleagues and future leaders.

Skills & Experience – Required

  • Proven track record delivering large‑scale technology transformation in WAM or Financial Services.
  • Deep expertise in investment / wealth platforms, data ecosystems, and architecture.
  • Strong commercial leadership experience, including:
    • Pipeline creation
    • Deal shaping
    • Delivery oversight
  • Ability to operate at C‑suite level, influencing strategic and technology decisions.
  • Strong consulting skillset, including:
    • Stakeholder management
    • Communication and storytelling
    • Problem structuring

Domain Expertise

  • Wealth & Asset Management technology landscape, including:
    • Front office / portfolio management
    • Data & analytics
    • Platform transformation (e.g. Aladdin ecosystems, alternatives platforms)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Technology modernisation approaches
    • Integration and architecture patterns
    • Evolving industry landscape (AI, GenAI, cloud)

Ideally, You Will Also Have

  • Experience leading platform‑led transformation (vendor + bespoke integration) such as Blackrock Aladdin, State Street Alpha/Charles River, Simcorp Dimension, Bloomberg AIM, Factset, Finbourne, eFront, Aladdin Wealth, Avaloq, FNZ, SS&C, SECCL, SEI, Iress, Objectway and others.
  • Exposure to AI‑enabled operating models and data‑driven transformation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and risk considerations in FS technology.
  • Experience building consulting propositions and growing practices.
