This role is newly created within EY Foundation's Income & Partnerships function, focusing on high-value income growth across trusts, foundations, major donors, and corporate foundations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach and secure grants from trusts and foundations, including design, negotiation, and reporting of 5-7 figure grants.
  • Develop and manage a major donor program: design communications, events, legacy giving, and grow the value of a high-net‑worth giving portfolio.
  • Build and nurture corporate partnership relationships and corporate foundation funding opportunities; develop proposals that align with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with existing funders, report performance, and collaborate with programme and finance teams to refine grantable propositions.
  • Generate new business, manage existing accounts, and maintain a performance reporting regime through pipelines, dashboards, and CRMs.
  • Produce compelling pitches, grant proposals, impact reports, and other content that engages target audiences.
  • Support the fundraising team with events, corporate partner signing, and renewal of relationships.
  • Lead on developing proposals and partnerships that are financially viable and meet EY Foundation’s strategic objectives.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven communication skills: produce high‑quality, tailored communications across all channels; use data and storytelling to create persuasive pitches.
  • Data analysis: generate insights to improve efficiency, outcomes, and impact measurement.
  • Technology & Systems: integrate digital tools such as SharePoint, CRM (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), and emerging technologies into work.
  • Stakeholder engagement & influence: build relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals and support stewardship activities.
  • Strategic thinking: translate EY Foundation’s strategy into clear objectives and priorities for the area.
  • Collaboration: build strong cross‑team and external relationships.
  • Risk management: identify, manage, and mitigate operational, reputational and financial risks; ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, HR and mandatory training.
  • Knowledge of the social mobility context and relevant fundraising legislation, regulations, and GDPR.
  • Experience securing income from grant makers, major donors or business development (minimum two of the three areas).
  • Track record of successful business development in a target‑driven environment.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics for fundraising.
  • Experience working in a small‑to‑medium sized organisation, cross‑team role.
  • Experience building donor networks, including giving circles.
  • Track record in securing six‑figure partnerships.

Additional Requirements

  • Successful applicants will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check via the Disclosure and Barring Service, where appropriate.
