Our Transaction Analytics team helps clients use data to make better decisions at critical moments in the deal lifecycle, working with private equity investors, corporates, management teams and other advisers on various engagements.
As an Executive in the Transaction Analytics team, you will support client-facing M&A engagements by analysing financial, operational and commercial data to identify trends, risks and value drivers. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Extracting, cleansing and transforming data from client finance, ERP, CRM, billing and operational systems.
- Building analysis in Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI to support diligence questions and transaction hypotheses.
- Preparing dashboards, dynamic databooks and visual outputs for client teams and deal workstreams.
- Reconciling analytical outputs back to management accounts, source systems and other diligence materials.
- Supporting analysis of revenue, customer, margin, pricing, cohort, retention, site or project-level performance.
- Communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contributing ideas to improve our tools, templates and ways of working as the Birmingham Transaction Analytics team grows.

To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A qualification in computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, accounting, data analytics or another highly numerate discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Commercial experience and/or relevant industry, analytics, finance or transaction experience.
- Understanding of data analytics and visualisation tools such as Excel, Alteryx, Power BI or Python.
- A passion for providing high quality service to clients.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience working in a transaction, diligence, corporate finance, consulting or professional services environment.
- Client-facing experience from a professional services, advisory or commercial analytics background.
- Experience building dashboards, databooks, management reporting packs or analytical outputs for senior stakeholders.
