The Opportunity: We are now looking for an experienced Reward Manager to join the FS Reward team. EY’s People Advisory Services Tax team partners with the world’s leading Financial Services organisations, harnessing the power of their people and enabling them to perform at their best.

Working in the Reward team at EY provides early exposure to clients, involvement in day-to-day relationship management, and the chance to work across a wide range of issues and engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Navigate a dynamic and complex regulatory change environment.
  • Transform reward programmes to attract, retain, and motivate employees with the skills needed to thrive in the future talent landscape.
  • Optimise reward programmes to deliver an excellent employee experience and achieve a strong return on investment for clients.
  • Drive progress on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) priorities through remuneration.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving pay-equity requirements and embed DE&I across all reward and performance activity.
  • Design and implement awards that incentivise business strategy and corporate activity.
  • Contribute to and lead projects across a diverse range of complex engagements within the Financial Services sector.
  • Produce innovative insights and adapt methodologies to meet clients’ specific needs.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships and build trusted client relationships.
  • Identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support wider business development activities.
  • Navigate the operational complexities and risk management of client engagements.
  • Coach, support and provide learning opportunities for junior team members.
  • Contribute to wider strategic initiatives that support EY’s growth agenda.
  • Partner with other EY service lines to ensure reward and HR considerations are embedded across client engagements.
  • Lead Reward Optimisation assessments, analysing quantitative and qualitative data to generate key insights.
  • Provide interpretations and technical advice relating to the UK’s regulated environment for Financial Services.
  • Support clients in identifying and designing changes to components of their Reward Value Proposition.
  • Assist clients in producing public disclosures, calculating their Gender Pay Gap and other pay ratios, and aligning with regulatory and disclosure requirements.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to write in a compelling yet succinct style.
  • Consulting background, ideally gained within a professional services environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to extract insights quickly from a variety of data sources.
  • Thought leadership mindset with a desire to challenge established practices.
  • Skilled in project management and able to work collaboratively to maximise team performance.
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure, delivering pragmatic solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong presenter and verbal communicator, able to convey complex messages with credibility and impact.
  • Experience working in Reward within a regulated sector (ideally Financial Services).
  • A strong understanding and passion for the role of Reward in shaping the future people agenda.
  • Strong numerical skills.
Technical competencies (desired):
  • Understanding of equal pay and wider pay transparency requirements.
  • Experience developing tailored reward solutions that drive performance and engagement.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to inform reward recommendations.
  • Experience communicating and implementing reward programmes, ensuring clarity and stakeholder buy-in.
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory frameworks for reward programmes.
  • Experience designing and implementing employee benefits programmes (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, incentives).
