At EY, our Procurement Transformation consulting team works with some of the world’s top organisations to help them build high performing procurement capabilities. We are looking for experienced procurement professionals to join our growing team and support our clients to navigate the unprecedented global uncertainty, volatility and risk within supply chains.

The opportunity

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of different client projects, working across industry sectors and the full procurement lifecycle, including:

  • Delivering high-value complex strategic sourcing projects, supporting clients to identify and onboard suppliers to deliver some of their largest and most critical projects.
  • Engaging with business stakeholders and suppliers to shape category strategies that best meet the organisations needs and takes advantage of market and industry best practice.
  • Conducting assessments on 3rd party spend using analytics tools, identifying opportunities to reduce cost. Working with clients to implement projects and improve ways of working so that they are better able to manage spend.
  • Supporting clients to navigate supplier performance issues that are impacting on business outcomes, working with them to implement leading practice contract and supplier management capabilities.
  • Working with clients to review the current procurement operating model and identify and implementing improvements.
  • Providing formal and informal procurement training to client teams so they have the technical and soft skills to deliver the best procurement outcomes.
  • Supporting clients to implement leading procurement technology practices, including Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence.

You will work in cross-functional teams across our Consulting, People and Technology practices. The projects you deliver will build your leadership and your technical commercial & procurement capabilities. You will work closely with and support senior client stakeholders. You will also have exposure to leading procurement technology; including Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Data Analytics.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll be focused on delivering for our clients as well as supporting our wider team through internal initiatives.

  • Lead a workstream within a project where you will be completing analysis, engaging with clients and taking responsibility for deliverables.
  • Be adept at problem-solving with clients and project teams, leveraging your skills to deliver high-quality work.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen relationships and be a trusted advisor to clients, working with procurement and wider business stakeholders.
  • Work with colleagues across different parts of EY globally in order to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Develop our people and business

  • Help develop and deliver our internal procurement training programme so that we build the capabilities of our team.
  • Help shape our leading procurement practices and methodology supporting internal research and analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals to showcase some of our leading practices.

Your experience

Typically, Senior Consultants bring practical experience from either a consulting or industry background where you have developed your technical procurement expertise. Whilst consulting experience is not essential, you will have had some experience in delivering business change for your organisation. As a minimum you should have:

  • Experience within procurement.
  • Ability to write to a high standard.
  • Track record of operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with evidence of being able to draw out insights from a range of different data sources.
  • Ability to successfully work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of organisation.
  • Experience working with diverse teams of people.

Qualifications
