EY is experiencing an increasing demand for its Health consulting expertise. We are seeking to expand our team of skilled and experienced Managers who are already delivering impact and value for our health clients across the UK or Ireland. As a Data and Analytics Manager within our Health Practice, you will oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of health data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and meaningful use in service transformation. This includes managing large‑scale NHS datasets and collaborating with clinical and operational teams to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead consulting projects in the healthcare sector, focusing on the application of AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve productivity, enable digital transformation, and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their healthcare-specific needs and develop tailored analytics and intelligence solutions that address operational, clinical, and strategic challenges.
- Design, build, and deploy data analytics and reporting solutions including automations, predictive and prescriptive analytics and integration with AI solutions and technologies.
- Analyse healthcare systems, policies, and data to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and improvement.
- Collaborate with NHS clients, operational leaders, digital teams, and external partners to understand data needs and co‑design solutions.
- Facilitate workshops with NHS stakeholders to strengthen data literacy and promote consistent data practices across organisations.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and clinical users to ensure solutions are practical, safe, and aligned to NHS workflows.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering AI and health data literacy within the health sector team.
- Stay abreast of healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging data and AI technologies to inform consulting strategies and recommendations.
- Contribute to business development and solution design for health sector clients, supporting bids and proposals with data, analytics, AI and Healthcare expertise.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering data-focused transformation projects within the healthcare sector (in particular the NHS).
- Strong understanding of UK (in particular NHS) healthcare systems, policies, and operational challenges, with the ability to translate these into AI-enabled solutions.
- Strong hands‑on experience with data management, data integration, and data quality tools, alongside proven expertise in applying data governance best practices.
- Experience with handling and analysing large scale operational, clinical and financial healthcare datasets – SUS, SLAM, HES, ESR.
- Experience of undertaking complex analytics engagements in areas such as financial improvement, operational improvement, intelligent insights and demand and capacity and system modelling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex health data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing projects and teams, delivering results for health sector clients.
- Understanding the application of data analytics, prescriptive and predictive to address key challenges across the healthcare landscape and across the NHS.
- Experience of developing across data visualisation solutions such as PowerBI and Tableau.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with healthcare clients and stakeholders.
