Our FS teams have been at the forefront of every event that has reshaped and redefined the industry. If you have a passion for rallying together to solve the most complex challenges in financial services, come join our dynamic FS team!

Clients’ problems are evolving rapidly. The pace of AI and enabling technologies creates an urgent need to innovate, automate and adapt. Financial institutions want smarter, more efficient operations, new data-driven revenue streams, and stronger risk management. Unlocking AI’s full potential means not only applying it, but also transforming the enterprise to be data- and technology-led. Problems are getting more complex just as the pressure to streamline is rising.

EY is investing in engineering-led AI at scale and expanding collaboration with Microsoft/OpenAI to bring advanced capabilities to clients via Microsoft’s secure Azure OpenAI Service. You’ll help build production-grade systems aligned to EY platform patterns and Responsible AI guardrails.

Role purpose: Join a delivery squad building real AI-powered solutions for leading FS clients. You’ll translate business challenges into user stories, implement early features (e.g., LLM/RAG), and learn how to deliver secure, reliable solutions in enterprise settings. Your journey starts with a Applied AI Engineering Academy combining hands-on learning, hackathons and real project exposure.

What you’ll do:

  • Client-facing delivery: Support discovery workshops; convert needs into user stories and acceptance criteria; contribute to demos and feedback cycles.
  • Solution design & implementation: Build LLM/RAG features and integrations under guidance; write clean, tested, documented code; follow EY reference architectures and security patterns.
  • Product mindset & continuous improvement: Contribute to documentation, reusable accelerators and squad playbooks informed by field lessons.

What we’re looking for:

Essential: Software fundamentals (Python/TypeScript, APIs, microservices, testing, Git). LLM/RAG basics (embeddings, prompts, retrieval) and an eagerness to learn evaluation/guardrails. Cloud fundamentals (Azure preferred), Docker, CI/CD exposure. Clear communication, client readiness and a growth mindset.

Nice to have: ML fundamentals; PyTorch/TensorFlow; Databricks; streaming patterns.

Travel & working model: Hybrid with periodic client travel across the UK (and occasional international travel as needed).
