This is a high‑impact role at the centre of EY’s growth agenda in the Channel Islands. As Business Development and Pursuits Manager, you will shape how EY goes to market across priority clients, leading strategic pursuits, strengthening client relationships and driving disciplined pipeline management. You will work closely with partners and directors across service lines, influencing pursuit strategy, client messaging and account focus. The role offers significant visibility, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to play a key role in winning and retaining EY’s most important clients. It is well suited to someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery and sound commercial judgement.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic pursuit and opportunity management: Lead pursuit account planning, coordination and execution for priority opportunities. Ensure high‑quality, client‑focused messaging, disciplined governance and effective stakeholder engagement throughout the pursuit lifecycle, including post‑pursuit reviews and continuous improvement. Support and attend key client, prospect and influencer meetings, providing insight and driving follow‑up actions to conclusion. Take accountability for the quality, consistency and governance of all client‑facing pursuit materials, ensuring required approvals are obtained. Build strong working relationships with pursuit teams and key interdependency groups across the firm to enable effective delivery.
- Client Experience (CX) programme: Manage EY’s Channel Islands Client Experience programme, including ASQ activity, win and loss debriefs and key client touchpoints. Work with UK CX teams to communicate interview outcomes and client feedback to relevant stakeholders. Support the promotion of the CX programme internally, encouraging participation and engagement.
- Commercial reporting and pipeline management: Own the delivery of CI sales and pipeline reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Analyse pipeline data to support opportunity prioritisation and reliable forecasting. Maintain strong pipeline hygiene and compliance with risk, quality and independence requirements. Support effective and consistent use of Dynamics to enable business development activity and reporting. Monitor competitor activity and market trends, sharing relevant insight with senior stakeholders.
