Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients across a variety of sectors, supporting key decision‑makers in developing and implementing strategic transformations.
  • Take a leading role on the ground with clients as a credible, visible member of joint EY–client teams, working either as part of a large project or leading a workstream.
  • Engage with clients and address their needs through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Play a supporting role in new business development by qualifying targets, supporting pitches and preparing go‑to‑market collateral.
  • Help grow the practice and coach junior team members.

To Qualify for the Role

  • Professional services / strategy consulting experience, either wholly within consulting or through a combination of consulting and industry roles.
  • Track record of involvement in delivering cross‑sector work for third‑party spend: opportunity assessments, cost reduction delivery programmes, strong analytical skills linking operational analysis to financial statements.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience across multiple sectors, especially within Consumer & Retail, Industrials, Energy, Life Sciences and Technology, Media and Telecom.
  • Expertise across indirect and direct spend categories with an understanding of key cost drivers and levers.
  • Experience building strong working relationships with senior clients, influencing and advising key decision‑makers.
  • Experience supporting sales and business development processes in a large‑scale consulting environment.
  • A track record of delivering cost transformation with clear, quantified impact, managing project workstreams and vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, producing high‑calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership.
